One of the most anticipated movie releases this year is Ant-Man, based on the Marvel comics with the same name. The main character is a superhero who has the ability to shrink in size but increase in strength. This has inspired the promotional campaigns leading up to the release of the movie.

Small billboards were put up throughout Australia which generated a lot of attention from the media and fans, as seen in the picture above. The uniqueness and humour behind this promotion is what made it so successful. Since it has been noticed by such a large amount of people movie attendance is likely to be higher. The competitive nature of the film industry requires marketers to be creative in order to get attention from fans which they were successful with in this case.

After the release of As Above So Below, a horror movie based in the catacombs beneath Paris. The website 'Cinetv' decided to have a giveaway of products related to the movie. When consumers purchase the potato chips, then get a free badge, each of which has a different character from the movie on. These different characters will make consumers want to collect them all, especially their target audience, teenagers.
